The Black Knights Army Display Parachute Team have confirmed that they will be displaying at the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta on Saturday 27th August, 2011, dropping into the River Dart at approximately 1300.

A new event at this year`s Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta will be a `Pensioners Crab Fishing Competition`.
The Pensioners have watched in excess of 200 children annually crab at Regattas over many years, and now feel it is time the `old uns` showed them how it is really done.
There will be a clock presented to the pensioner who makes the biggest catch, it will be known as the C.O. Jones Memorial Clock. This potentially `major` competition will take place on Thursday 25th August, 2011, sign in at 1000. entries taken on the day. Males 65+ Females 60+ bus pass or other proof of age may be required.

The 2011 Regatta heralds the first Regatta Octathlon.
This event will bring together 8 of the Regatta`s biggest sporting events: Open Whaler, Championship of the Dart, Pair Oared Race, Road Race, Freestyle Swimming, Darts, Trolley Race and Tug`O`War.
Octathletes will compete across these, plus a final all new Embankment Dash to determine the Men`s, Ladies and Junior Octathlete 2011.
